Goughs Institute of Training is the training division of Goughs Caterpillar Business Unit.

This dedicated fulltime training department specialises in providing support to not only apprentice mechanics but also providing ongoing support to staff at all levels of knowledge and experience within the Gough Group of businesses.

Goughs believe that today's apprentices are its future and that’s why the company continues to recruit and train the very best young people for the job.

Goughs is one of the largest employer’s of heavy automotive apprentices in New Zealand, employing around 50 apprentices at any given time throughout the branch network.

The Institute provides technical training to Goughs staff and recruits diesel mechanic apprentices for nationwide positions.
